Haven't seen one like that for a long time. I may have missed it, but did the leaders get locked in tomorrow?

Definitely a race of the year candidate. Slide jobs, 3 wide, multiple grooves, literally no dust, big car count, great finish....what more could a race fan want. Can't wait for Wed night's BC 39.

It was hard racing, but I don't know about great. The perception is that it was great due to the constant lead changes, most brought on by a terrible track that looked like a mine field. People here complain about track prep all the time, but not a peep as to how bad that track was.

Were it a bigger track, they likely would have needed the helicopter for transport. Dahms barrell rolls were very nasty.

I would much rather watch a race on a rough track than a dry dusty track. I'm not saying those are the only options available, but dust is way worse than rough.

Yes - the modern midget races are exciting but man I'm glad the cars are much safer than days of old. And being on the smaller track helped.

If the guys raced like that in the 90's and prior there'd been a lot more hospital visits & funerals than the already high # there were in those days.

I heard a driver say "they need at least one race on the track prior to the BC39. As the track sits unused for almost a year between races." Inferring that it would help the track conditions.

They should turn it in to "Millbridge North". Like all the NASCAR driver's kids and some of them (Kyle Busch, etc) run micros/mini-sprints/regional midgets down there all summer (midgets have run at the NC track on occasion, not too often). Indycar driver's kids, and some of them, could get some laps thru the summer here.

Now, maybe it "cheapens" the 2.5m oval track some (all these races in whatever form at the place anytime of year), but there has been other racing on the grounds for over 30 years now. IF, some young American kids were growing up racing in the shadow of the place; maybe, just maybe they would want to find the $ to climb the ladder and then race in the 500...

Would be a cool place to do a summer mini series on some weeknights. Like an old Thursday Nigjt Thunder type of deal. Not sure if they could find any kind of tv or most likely a Flo streaming type of deal.
