BOSS to Meet GLTS in I-96 Speedway "Sprint Wars"

The MPD Racing - Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series will return to action this Friday and Saturday, May 7-8 near Lake Odessa, Michigan at the I-96 Speedway in a show catered to sprint car fans. "Sprint Wars" will feature two divisions of sprint car racing featuring FOUR different sanctioning bodies! The Ohio based BOSS tour will meet the Michigan based GLTS in the traditional sprint car $2,000 main event battle each night. In addition, the Michigan based GLSS will battles the national ASCS tour in the winged 360 sprint car division.

The BOSS tour kicked the season off on March 27th at Waynesfield Raceway Park when Drew Rader tracked down Dustin Ingle and passed for the win over a stellar 32 car field. Round 2 of the 2021 season was cancelled, and now, rounds 3 and 4 are set to take place north of the border. Following Rader and Ingle at Waynesfield were Rob Caho, Luke Hall, Landon Simon, Cody White, Matt Westfall, Paul Dues, Kyle Simon and Steve Irwin rounding out the top 10. Most of these drivers are expected at I-96 along with a host of other BOSS regulars and the GLTS stars who will be ready to defend their turf!

Pit gates will open at 4 pm each day with grandstands open at 5. Driver meeting will be at 5:30 with racing set to begin at 8 pm. General admission is $25 while youth 11-15 and military ID patrons admitted for $20. Kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes will be $35.

For competing teams, NO mufflers for this event. Tires must be 4 corner Hoosiers and the right rear must be the H15, H20 or Medium. You do NOT have to run the same tire all night. We will be using the yellow westhold transponders and raceceivers are mandatory. The new 2021 standard BOSS pay structure is in effect both nights which is as follows: 2000, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 500, 450, 425, 400, 375, 350, 340, 330, 320, 310, 300, 300, 300, 300, 300. As always, $100 is awarded to B-main non transfers. Heat races also pay: 40, 30, 20, 10 thanks to our heat sponsors TCB Speed, Hoosier Racing Tire and TheCushion.com who will carry the event live streamed!

Bonus awards of $50 each are provided by Accu-Force Shock Dynos & Testers, Apple Metal Polishing, Cowen truck Line, The Bridge Restaurant in Sidney, All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads, All Star Performance, and Hoosier Racing Tires. A big thank you also to our associate sponsors, Ti22 Performance, ARP Fasteners and MSD Ignitions for making the BOSS tour successful!

First trip up to I 96. Love the BOSS vs GLTS matchup. I have never seen ASCS National 360's live (only FLO & Mav). Whatever you choose for your racing fix this weekend, do it in person and bring a friend or two along!
