Pierce had no help, just spun. Jacob Wilson was also in the mix early on and had some kind of issue and took it to the pits.

Not a bad job on the "Hills" for Kody. I guess he was cherrypicking again tonight.

Jen, I was there a few years ago when Brian Gerster turned a 147mph lap in a winged sprint car! That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen at Salem Speedway

The Crown Cars put on a great race at Salem Speedway today. The Big Cars seem much better suited to race on that big rough fast track that the 410's. Lots of close fast side by side racing. I'd go back to watch another show.

The surprise of the day however was the Stock Car race held after the Crown Cars did their thing. They raced on a rain slicked race track, sometimes in a drizzle. Young Frank Kimmel Jr. gave an excellent demonstration on how to get the most out of a heavy stock car in very adverse conditions. He definitely proved to me that being born into a racing family and sharing the heritage started by his Grand Pa Bill Kimmel Sr. and carrying over with his father Frank Kimmel Sr, a many time ARCA Champ. I remember Grand Pa Bill racing a Dizz Wilson's Sprinter at Salem many many years ago. This kid has talent and it's a shame we didn't get him in an open wheel car.
