Just for the record, Pete, I am NOT one of those who think USAC is the devil. I am a long-time supporter of USAC events. I have been a USAC member off-and-on for quite a number of years. But I do not shy away from pointing out some very questionable decisions that affect midget, sprint car, and Silver Crown racing.

Steve: I've read enough of your posts to know that you're not a USAC hater. I too have been frustrated and confused by some of USAC's decisions but that's OK. Heck sometimes I'm frustrated and confused by my wife's decisions, but I love her anyways!

Yes, I'm quite aware of Helfrich's attempt to trade in on the history of Terre Haute. I'm glad USAC stood up to him and in typical Helfrich fashion instead of supporting a great event when it needed it, he chose to try and steal years of prestige and history for his own gain.

I'm not surprised that you, as one of the many Helfrich nut-riders here, see nothing wrong with that.

I've heard something like that spoken around here, but it seems to be my wife doing the speaking and that she still loves me despite my decisions!! :O:

USAC = Not the devil.

POWRi = Not God.

In fact these are the only 2 sanctioning bodies I've spent ticket money on this season. What frustrates me is that people are all the time lamenting the fact that there are not enough dirt Midget races throughout the Midwest, me included. I guess it would take a perfect world to see USAC and POWRi not schedule against each other so more racers and more fans would have more opportunities to attend both.
What the hell am I thinkin'?

Obviously I'm not "in the know" like Mad Mike on the subject of racing. That's fine.
And I have to admit I know absolutely nothing about his favorite pastime of "nut-riding".
I'm done :angry-smiley-007: See you at the races.

Mike McCormick,
In reading your posts on this thread and some of your other posts it is abundantly clear that you are one miserable, pi$$ed off individual. I hope life improves for you.

Does smoking White Owls really obscure your vision that much?

He wanted three years to build that rundown event at his track. I feel certain that concept was beyond your ability to comprehend, so I'm glad to enlighten you. Obviously you have a great need for copious amounts of enlightenment, but considering that I'm 66 already, I won't have nearly enough time to complete that project.
BTW, I will not get into such a childish thing as your name-calling nonsense. Feel free to make yourself happy.

I will have fun,thank you very much.

As far as being a "Nut rider" for POWRI and MSCS, I've also been to many USAC races,and all of the TNT tour as well,along with many weekly shows.
