First off i really think the racing sunday was probaly the best it has been there for awhile... I was one also who didn't want to unload all our stuff in the infield ,but after seeing it go pretty smooth not really a hassle after all. No me or my son was there racing.due to me hurting my back on saturday,we were planning on being there sunday,as it turned out rain was probaly a blessing for DHK not as many choices as they were on friday.plus a sunday day race at that just like the old days, yes it was dusty but the sun had more to do with the wreck than the dusk,as a driver its not as bad on the track has it is in the stands,Chris u really did a great job on the track. And just as lloyd said somebody always has a better idea on how to dothings me too...so congats to DHK job well done kenny carmichael:

:idea:Just an idea about the sun going into 3. Is there any way to put a bilboard at that end of the track to block the sun. I dont think it would be safe to have it at the wall by itself but maybe set back from the wall a ways but high enough to provide shade. The same thing will be happening during the heats for the rest of the year.

In reference to the comment of never meeting a paid Trophy Girl:Obviously you have never met Linda Vaughn(Or as I like to refer to her as:"Last phase of Rookie Orientation")

Last time I saw Linda in person she was coming out of the Steak and Shake on 38th street after last years race.

I can't wait to get to that. It sounds as if the place has passion again.
??????DUST????????? Dust at Kokomo I don't know about that!!! Where I was setting there was no dust at all??????????????????

Leaders Edge, thanks for helping to refresh my memory; I have met Linda Vaughn a number of times. Linda is in a league of her own, I do not consider her a short track USA Trophy Girl.

unless i missed it, i still didn't see an answer about unloading the rest of the year. and yes i've spent more than my fair share of time loading and unloading at race tracks. that being said the only Dirt Track it's a real need is Knoxville during the nationals.

My educated guess would be that it will be the rest of the year.

The answer to your question is: Yes, DHK Promotions plan is to pit the cars in the traditional pit area along the front stretch for the entire season.

The Sunday afternoon start time was the rain date. That has already been established but, DHK has planned rain dates into EVERY race on the schedule. The contract with the fair board was not completed until late Feb. By that time most tracks have already set their dates or in the process of finalization. DHK did an excellant job in getting the 6 races they have with rain dates and attempt to not double up on other track's schedules which would have split the fan/competitor base. Not an easy task and not totally unavoidable. After reading all the posts that have appeared on this board, I challenge the few desentors to attend more races at THAT and see what is in store. I'm sure there is nobody that first attempted to ride a bike didn't have a shaky start but you did learn to ride and ride well.
