I had a 1980 Chevy Monza. Quite a classic! It was four on the floor, and actually would move pretty good until the water pump expired on me. Had to get in from the passenger side since the lock wouldn't work right.

A little OT but bear with me. When I was a little tyke (about 5) my dad had 3 old clunkers in the back yard. One day a guy came and picked them up. Years later I remembered that and asked my dad what those cars were. I was 17 now and quite interested. He replied, "A '38 Buick Touring Sedan, a '35 Ford Coupe, and a '32 Oldsmobile Cabriolet." "How much did you get for them?" I asked. "$25" was his reply. :crying::eek:

I'll call Tim's 8-Track player in the dash and raise the Flapping-Door-Skin Ram-Air A/C option.

69 Ford Galaxie 500. 2dr bright red w/ a white vinyl top. 302 with automatic tranmission. The dash was sun cracked, so I just carpeted it. It drove like a dream, until one day the frame came apart, due to rust. I was driving down Hwy 59 about 80 mph when the front half tried to go right, towards the ditch, with the wheel still straight.

Mine was a totally uncool 1948 Dodge 4door with fluid drive transmission. The back doors opened from front to back. Driving down Hanging Rock Hill in Madison after football practice in 1960 about 30-35 mph I would force the transmission from high gear to low gear without using the clutch and it would be like hitting a brick wall head on!!! Scared the hell out of those underclassmen riding in the back seat.Transmission continued to work for years--or rather months.
