M/C, I wasn't at Macon, but I can whole heartedly agree with you about Lincoln. Sure glad I went. Cool little place. A bunch of sliders and a real tricky cushion up by the fence. After what I saw the race I got to at Indiana midget week, and last night at Lincoln, I say midget racing is alive and well. People rag that the big teams ruin it, but I say they've made everyone else pick up their game. As a fan, when I go to a USAC midget race,I want to see the best of the best, and that's what it provides. Sure glad Lynch and Boat were ok. I don't think I've ever seen a flip travel that far. Like Buckley says, you don't want to see a crash but you don't want to miss one either. Testament to the safety built into the cars and equipment these days. I was hoping to run into some IOW'S but with the crowd, that was huge, it was tough to do. And I didn't see an ice cream stand, so didn't know where to look for Wildman92

Absolutely wonderful weekend of racing here in central Illinois. Macon had us all shaking our heads in amazement following the midget A-main. It was one of the best races we've seen in many years! We were VERY disappointed in the spectator turnout at Mighty Macon. It's been over a decade since we have been treated to USAC midget racing here in Central Illinois. If we want top quality racing, and Macon was just that, we very much need to support it much better than what we saw at Macon. If not for the mud cabs at Lincoln I fear it may have been somewhat similar. However, I think there were some late model diehards very impressed with the USAC boys at Lincoln!
Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

We're lucky on the East Coast too. Tonite we get to see if Kyle Larson can make it 3 in a row vs. Pa. Posse tonite at Grandview. Then on to ISW for me...
I thoroughly enjoyed POWRi midgets in Belleville last fall.... we're all lucky
Happy 4th & be safe! No drinking & driving, please....
