As DAD said, no such thing as overkill on chains. I use RK 530 oring chains, and have never had a failure because of the chain. Have about 1 inch slack without me in the car. Using block tensioner with no springs. Numerous tensioners out there and everyone has a favorite. Buy a GOOD chain, buy one too long so you can shorten it and have extra links in case you make a major gear change. Buy several master links and take care of the chain. The difference in cost for a good chain, is worth NOT having a DNF after paying for fuel, pit passes etc, not to mention what can happen when it breaks. I have seen several engine cases broken due to a broken chain, not to mention it can break right when someone is right on your butt, and the suddon slowing cause him to run over you and wreck you both. I agree on the radiator too. One GOOD radiator (at minimal extra cost to an average radiator) can save a BIG engine failure.
