This is the passing of a True Icon in our Sport. His Sir Name is synonymous with Speed and Quality Equipment. Our best to Joe and all the Gaerte Family...

RIP, Earl.
I just played back an episode of Must See Extreme Racing sprint cars that showed a segment with Jason Blonde setting the world speed record at Bristol with his winged sprint car. Jason was very high in his praise of his Gaerte engine.

When Jerry posted thatwhen they have a Gaerte you know they mean business is surely true. At East Bay one year Art Wendt had an extra Gaerte motor and was the most popular person in the pits that night. RIP Earl.

Joe and Scott have been friends for years, the Gaerte's have always felt like an extended family to us. When we got the call our family had felt like we lost one of our own. At least Earl isn't suffering and he is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Alice. RIP Earl
