Hey Duke - How goes w/you?

On one hand, I agree -- Pavement races help get you to the big time at the big-name tracks.
On the other hand -- How can you convince big-name tracks to sign shows without a history of good car counts?

We have come full circle here, man. Time to let this thread die?
Please...??

Could it be money ran across an AAA fact sheet from 1953. Salem Speedway had 4 AAA races average attendence was 7500 an average purse was 6000. There were no support classes in those days only sprint cars an people talk about low car counts in those days there would only be about 20 or 25 sprint cars. Big car counts doesn't mean good racing.

tell me this! Why would any promoter want a usac sprint car race on dirt in indiana? It cost them over $25000 when you get all the same cars and drivers for $1000 to $1200 to win?

OK FIRST OFF I AM NOT A usac crownie But Miller had some interesting things to say.their are some new rules coming out tires being one of theme.so I hope that 2010 will be a better year for racing.I am going to give Miller/usac a chance to make changes.

For me I have never been much a fan of pavement racing. I am just thankful that I have plenty of dirt tracks around. The only thing I can think of is same car spec for dirt an pavement.
