This is only a portion of the WoO point fund that’s missing the exclusivity bonus. For example Gravel got $350k for winning the points last year.

Wonder if single day tickets to any event will exceed $50?

A better question might be if any will be under $50?

People used to complain about USAC and their rules against drivers competing outside the club. Yet "outlaw" sprints has turned in that direction. And it's headed in the direction of NASCAR's model.

The charter money replaces point fund and tow money. They will average 2 years of point finishes to calculate what position of charter money you get. So i guess the benefit is you will know how much you will be getting at the start of the season and will be paid through the season. Bummer is you win the title you won't get a larger sum at the end of the season just will bring your average up to calculate the next years amount.

You are probably right. We are going to CAR in two weeks and it was $45 per night. I see that Perris is $75. You used to be able to go to an NFL game for less than $100 but depending on the market it's well over $350 now. I suppose if wages kept up with inflation it might not hurt as much.

I feel like charters in dirt track racing are an answer to a question nobody asked.

I will be the jerk here. I am a true blue fan of wingless sprints. My Dad and I did some sponsorship of a couple cars in the mid 70's for friends that raced for FUN. I know things change, etc. but my opinion of Hi Limit is that they will ruin the heart of racing because of the almighty dollar, just like NASCAR has to stock car racing. I thought WoO was doing that but this is on another level. I wish the money would just be put into purses and let the chips fall where they fall. Now it will just become a business like the ball sports. Wait till the Gen-1 sprint car comes out! I have big shoulders so start throwing your darts!
