God I hope he will be alright. That was a nasty hit. The Knot in my stomach is unexplainable right now. Live Ryan has said in the past. Restrictor Plate racing in not racing is a crap shoot.

Praying hard for Ryan right now. This is the part of racing we all hate. Lord, please let Ryan be okay and give comfort to his two little girls.

Seeing on twitter a Penske employee was told Ryan was awake as he was loaded into the ambulance.

The wrecks are caused because of the restricted engines. This pack racing and depending on the draft is dangerous. These drivers have very little to no extra power to pass let alone drive out of the draft especially in an accident, they are basically getting sucked into the accident with no power to throttle out of it. Stop restricting the engines and let the drivers decide how fast or slow the car is capable of going. This idea of being "PUSHED" to victory is not only stupid but as was witnessed last night VERY DANGEROUS.
There are other ways to slow the cars down without taking Power out of the engine. They could put tire rules in Aero rules in but for safety sake let the ENGINE be able to power out of an accident and not let the Aerodynamics package suck the car into a wreck. May GOD help Ryan Newman I was terribly worried it was a fatal accident Thank the Good Lord above he wasn't killed |
