This was the first time that I have been to Putnamville in a few years. The racing was really good and the track was much better than I expected. A couple of things I noticed/saw:
1. I was listening to my scanner during the time when the sprint cars were packing the track and the flagman who was at the entrance of turn 3 got mad a Cole Whitt because he gassed it a little. The flagman said "I am going to kick his ass" Then a Cole come by him next time, the flagman picked up a piece of dirt and threw it at Cole. I couldn't believe what I heard and saw.
2. During hotlaps, they were looking for the 21K of Krockenberger. I heard over my scanner some track worked say that the owner threw him our for sparying him with dirt during wheel packing. I assume the track worker meant DA when he said the owner. Sure enough the 21k hauler left a little later .
3. During one of sprint car restarts, the guy pulled the rope and it cme off of the cone. Rather than throw the yellow and get the cone off of the track, they finished the heat. It could have been a dangerous situation.
4. The whole grounds could stand to be trimmed. The vegitation is overtaking the whole place. LPS was one of my favorites when they cared and took care of the place.
Still glad I went but the attitutde of the track staff leaves a little bit to be desired.

Scott, I am in no way defending Dave Allison or that corner flagger if what you say is true, but if you eavesdrop on the radio communication at any racetrack in America, I guarantee you could take one or two lines out of context to make a track look bad.
I hate scanners. Race officials need to be able to know that what they say over the radio stays over the radio. JMO
