Do you think there will be many sprints for this show?

Not really but it is hard to put a number on it. I would hope that some of the younger guys with little sprint and/or pavement experience would show up. Also, maybe one or two of the top teams might use this as a test date getting ready for the Winchester/Shady Bowl weekend. I would very much like to see the series work but feel that the numbers will start off small, maybe 10 or so for the first race.

usac had 2 races at illiana about 5 yrs ago,the first one was on a wed night and they advertised dollar beers..The place was packed and it was a great night! The second time they were there someone didnt advertise it right and there were alot of empty seats..I think that was Jason Mc Cords first win that night..
There are alot of open wheel fans in the Chicago N W indiana area i sure hope they get cars and people in the stands!!

There is no local advertising for this show. Kenyon midgets, ford focus midgets and regional midgets are in this show. How does the casual fan tell the difference? Will any groups run on the quarter mile? no info available. Regional sprints, the must be running for nothing$. As far as sprint car count the midget group out of Joliet,( which is co-sanctioning this race) had a sprint car group that had up to 12 cars running weekly at Grundy. They might make up the show. AVSS or HOSS guys probably aren't going to run.
Only one sprintcar in the local area , and that is Chris Gurley who runs dirt.
I'm afraid this show will be poorly attended becouse of poor promotion. i'll be there.

Most sprint guys, even with pavement cars like AVSS and HOSS will not pay USAC fees, radio, tires, and most of all most do not own a HANS. This will be a tough sell on a Wednesday with no fendered support divisions.
