Well after alot of fanfare about their removal, and talks about safety and making things better for the racers, Bloomington Speedway re-installed their infield tires after only 2 races. Unless I missed it, I haven't seen one mention of it on IOW. We love that place, and will go back almost every show,, but why would those tires be put back after only 2 shows? I haven't seen any viable reason for this move as the sprint drivers have been doing really well with respecting the infield. Did I miss something with the other classes?
Also, could somebody explain their restart rule? In the Sprint feature, there was a blue car that jumped and gained 2 spots..no penalty...then a yellow car gains 3 spots on the next restart...no penalty...(no names mentioned to protect the guilty parties)..I guess if you are in 10th place or farther back, jump the start and take your chances..
Now before I get bashed, we will be back every week to support the track no matter how many tires they install or how many restart jumps get missed by the officials...

My first trip there this year, but I noticed the tires too, not sure what the reasoning was. The starts at Bloomington are different then anywhere else we go. As soon as the leader goes, you can pass, even if you are back in turn 3.

Ur not the only one that loves that place Steve... Like that RED Clay can't imagine how fun it is to drive on!! Yeah the tires thing has got me scratchin my head -unless we missed something in the other classes that took place??

Bill are you off you meds again?
Steve, as for the infield tires, I was told that one of the promoters made the decision to have the track staff replant them, maybe someone from the track could clarify and answer your question.
