We are new to mini sprints and took the car apart to paint and general clean up. The problem is now that we have reassembled it we have no spark. We had a motorcycle mechanic take a look at it and determined that it was the ecu box. We have tried 2 different computers that we know are good and still no fire. We are not getting any power to the ignition side of the ecu. Any and all suggestions would be helpfull. We just wanna go racing! Thanks

Google hasn't fixed it yet. Any other suggestions?

Have changed crank and cam position sensors with no luck. Power is up to coil just won't trigger it.

I have a r1 that had the same issues as you are with your gsxr and mine was a broken wire I might suggest you go back through the wiring just to check to make sure there are no broken wires Just a thought hope both you guys get it fixed

Check all grounds especially with fresh paint. It is easy to miss one. I personally like to take a ground from the engine directly to the battery,

Did you get it fired up?

Nope not yet. We have power to the coils but no fire, power to the injectors but no fuel. We are going for a new tip over switch. We will see if that works. Thanks guys. We will let you know what we find

Power to injectors and coils is pretty a easy thing to get. BUT To make spark and injection pulses you have to complete the circuit to ground. That is controlled by the electronic switches inside the ecm called injector and ignition drivers. If you have 8 volts on your orange/yellow wire going to the computer from the switch, You are probably missing a computer or sensor ground or you got that silly tip over switch sideways, that thing is like putting down sod "green side up" It has to point up. If you don't have one you need to get one or do the mod to the circuit. It would probably be simpler to take it apart carefully, put some silicone in it and put it back together with the pendilum facing down just like it would be pointing when the up is up on the switch.

When you get the thing running you should be a lot smarter on computer systems.

That is our next step with the tos. And I'm not sure we will be any smarter on the computer deal dad. Sure makes it frustrating. We have been messing with this for over 3 weeks. Getting really old! Haha

I need to make sure this is hooked up right. I have the orange/yellow wire going from the ignition switch through the resistor and to the computer. I also have a orange/white wire going to ignition. And a yellow/green wire going to ignition also. Let me know If this is right or wrong please. Any help would be great! Thanks
