Actually a pretty fair price. Hope someone passionate about Winged and Non-Winged Sprint Cars gets it soon!

I was up at parts house in front of mms over the summer and its sad to see that place just sitting. Everything about it is top notch. I remember helping a friend of mine race a sportsman car up there in 2001 when i believe it was the 1st year being paved. This seemed to be a case of a place getting too big too quick. The original owners were nice people.

KC is about 45 minutes from my home and kinda special because it was the track i took my wife for her first sprint car race... KC is a very nice facility and I hope someone will give it justice in the future.

KC Raceway was always considered a dirt track for the past 25 years I have attended races there. I will say that the racing surface did look like asphalt! The only time I ever witnessed a dirt track surface was back in 1993 or 1994 at a USAC sprint car race won by Jack Hewitt. It had rained all day Friday and into the late morning Saturday. The race was not cancelled. What a night it was . Great dirt track racing thanks to Mother Nature. Who ever decides to make an attempt to run KC Raceway, remember WATER!

If water is a concern, why couldn't someone bury a soaker hose type system under the track surface and put moisture in the track from slightly under the surface? I've always wondered why anyone hasn't done this yet.....

atomic speedway was my favorite track for years. the smith19 mobile had quite a few wins up there with george harbour. no wings till about 1973. sure miss the old surface as calcium chloride was added to the water weekly. as stated earlier it was pretty slick in recent years. hope it finds a good owner.
