Shifter In/Out???

Are in and out the opposite direction from a sprint car to a midget?

I am not sure about difference, but up is in gear in a sprintcar with a "T" handle cable.

They can be, it depends on the location of the rear cable. Its over on our SC to be out of the way of a jack and under on our midgets.

Thanks for the replies. Every midget I've been in up is out. My sprint car is the opposite. So I was just checking if that was normal. Thanks guys.

if you have one of the handle type shifters.....up is out of gear....and down is locked in gear.....
