It doesn't look like it. It say's "2010", but we'll see how good their word is.

OK, is it just me or do I see some high rollers who invested in the new car seriously po'd about now.

Im not badmouthing the possition but the sooner USAC says that this, *SOMEWHAT AFFORDABLE, Non ground effects* car is our car for the next 10 years, The more teams that will buy into it.

This seems like a temporary gap measure which IMHO is good for counts and fans alike but it should be that way permenantly

Thanks for the release.
Chuck, who thinks its also best to get a overal series champion from teams that can run the whole series.

I think they also still need to address the fact that tracks don't want to pay the purse that they want for the pavement races.

It's sort of ironic that they are returning to the traditional cars to pacify us old farts, and yet they are focusing on bringing new young fans to the sport.:kookoo

I think that this is a bold move, not meant to pacify any group, but rather to give more time to build a solid foundation upon which the new cars can be what they were meant to be, the cornerstone for growth for the series. While, of late, the NG cars had been putting on some good racing 15 to 20 car fields on 1 1/2 mile tracks just doesn't cut it. USAC is to be applauded for taking this step. Down the road it just may well turn out to be the decision that saved the SC division.:applaud::thumb

Looks like you all got what you wanted so we better see 55 cars and 20,000 screaming fans at each race!

3 steps forward and 6 back, until Capels, Rollie and the rest of the old farts are completely washed from USAC we will have this since of no direction!

By no means is this an attack on Kevin Miller or Jason Smith as these two guys are trying all they can but their hands are tied by the old farts on the board!
