Sorry but this city govt is so backward in it's thinking it's hard to believe. The demolished the Amusement Park that once hosted Elvis on many ocations and a year later proposed building another one.
Chuck, signed but petitions won't and to my knowlege save anything, A letter writing campaign to the city Govt might.

I went to a couple of the shows at the Music City Motorplex this year. I was told there that only people with a Tennessee address that signed a petition would be counted. Apparently they aren't interested in the opinions of folks from outside of the state of Tennessee that help support the track.:headbang:

I signed it anyway. Perhaps if enough outsiders sign it a difference might be made. We're talking about Tennessee here, not Kentucky.

I'm 908. That's about 99092 short of even starting to make a difference. There was a county road outside of town by me. The town wanted to widen it for a bicycle lane. Keep in mind this is a county road. No curb. No sewer. So everyone on this road fought the town. Signed petitions. Started websites. The whole deal. Not one person on the street wanted it. Guess what? They all LOST. Seems it always goes the same way.
