This group is from central western Illinois. The Illinois Outlaw Lightning Sprints.
This will be the closest thing to me I can find( still about 2 hours). But with this great weather I just won"t waste not being out in it. I It is not that far from Spoon River Speedway(Canton, IL). I am intrigued by this, since this particular race will be without their wings. This is from an email sent to me from them.

The IOLS cars will be racing another non wing 20 lap Feature this Sat night Oct 16th at the 1/5 mile Avcom Park Speedway in Avon Illinois
Gates open at 3pm with hot laps at 4:30 and racing at 5pm.

your gonna love the races there. the tq midgets also are running that night. its some of the best non wing racing in central illinois

Whats the difference in lap times between the TQ's and the Lightning Sprints there?

im not to sure we havent had any times cloclked that i know of. when they run wings the lightning sprints are usually faster. we ran nw tq lightning race early this year and all the cars were pretty competitive.

What do the Illinois Outlaw Lightning Sprints use for engines. I'm not familiar with this santioning body.

lighting sprints is the new name for a upright minisprint

they run 1000cc up to i think 1200cc
