what about Hockett? I know he's pushin mid-20's but he's still young, and doing a lot without much help or big name or budget like some of the previous posts' have mentioned. I think he deserves a nod. Maybe not for "Up & Coming", 'cause he's already "up", but he's still "coming". Go get 'em Jess!

I'll dip down to even younger ages than mentioned so far.
How about Mark Perry III from down near RiskyBrisky's area in Bedford, IN. He runs a family owned Micro Sprint and had 10 wins this year. Just like someone mentioned about the Robertson kid, Mark has a knack for keeping the car going forward, avoiding accidents and will find a line and take the car where others aren't so he can pass. Since I don't work USAC anymore, I have purposely taken in several of these shows around the state and I can assure everyone there is no shortage of talent that currenlty is not on anyones radar, but they soon will be. :checkered:

I've got a 600 driver for ya and I bet alot of you have never heard of him. Jerrod Wilson out of Oklahoma. He won the Tulsa Shootout last year and also won the $10,000 to win race at Little Rock this summer amongst many other victories. Drives the PMP house car out of California. He has driven 360's some and had plans to move to Indiana a couple years ago but something happened. Would love to see someone put him in a car around here. He's very good!:checkered: Another driver from the same area is Donnie Ray Crawford.

This is a place that seems to have more than its share of youngsters that have shown promise.
Here is another. Dylan Burge started the year by not transferring to the A Main. By the end of the year he was routinely starting in the feature with quite a few impressive races. I should add that today he had a fireball of a mail carrier. Tomorrow too. ![]()

Two more young drivers that are turning some heads out here in Ca. are Nic Faas and Cody Williams. Both have been running CRA, with Faas also competiting in the USAC Western Midgets (he might be leading in points). Cody got the ride in the famous Jory sprinter when his father broke his foot during the season opener at the PAS. He also has a brother Austin who is on the rise. Both (Faas and Cody) have been competitive in the CRA Sprints making the main event on regular basis. Faas is the nephew of Cary Faas who is promoting the very successful open comp shows at Victorville (up on the high desert).
