I was wondering who some of the photographers were in the mid to late 1970's for USAC? For a restoration project, I'm looking for any pictures of the Hoffman Race Team USAC sprint car, black #59 which ran from 1975 or 76 to 1978 I believe.Larry Cannon,Johnny Parsons Jr.,Joe Saldana and probably some others I'm not aware of were the drivers.John Mahoney provided me with some wonderful photos,Jimmy Carmichael found me one but I would like to find some additional pictures. I am willing to purchase even a scan if anyone has something.Rob Hoffman identified the car and posted a shot he had and I'll try to upload it here again.Any help or leads is appreciated. thanks, ron cubic tincan20@hotmail.com

You might try getting a hold of some of the SPRINT CAR PICTORIALS from the subject years. Also Gene Crucean was a big photographer during that period.

I have a picture from Salem, spring of 1975, that I took with an old instamatic 110, but it seemed the car was black with some orange. Cannon was driving it. I'll dig it out and scan it. I have to be at Indy for the IMIS trade show so it might be Friday before I can get it to you. Or if you are attending the trade show, I'll bring the photo and just come by the Bell Helmet booth. You can have it.

Another possibility is Katsue Gladback. Her husband Jack was a shooter for years at almost all of the USAC sprint car races. She did have an extensive catalog of all of Jack's negatives. She and Jack used to live in New Palestine, IN. Unfortunately we no longer live in Central Indiana, so I don't know if she still resides there or not, and I have lost the contact info for her. Jack passed away in 1999.
