Henry had a blast driving from 19th to 11th in the B Friday night. He understood that qualifying 36th made things tough but a super track, a group of great fans and the usual solid performance from the Lawrenceburg staff made it a good night. Even though it meant watching the main from the stands, it was a fun night of racing. We rarely get the kid to watch from the stands but he did Friday. Thank you Dave and the Lawrenceburg fans and staff. |

Am I to stomach the idea that Tim pulled his equipment from competition because he had to make a business decision as he states?

Gee, if only Tim had gotten on here and said that the BC team heard "motor noises" when warming the car up; then they decided rather than risk further damage, they parked the car.
No one would have known any better(you want to call Tim a liar?), and all of this bit**ing would be for naught. It was Tim's call to make, and only his. Just as it's his kid, his car, his team, and his money......and IMO, he can do what he wants..... |

I was there both nights and didn't even realize Jones and Clauson were not there Sat. night till the first B-Main lined up. I guess I was enjoying watching who WAS there that I didn't even miss them. Congrats to Jon and also to Chris Windom for a great show. Chris kept it awful close after Jon got around him. Gardner looked strong both nights and might've won Sat. with just a few more laps. I thought attendance would have been better both nights. Nice crowds but nothing to write home about. Wouldn't be surprised if Dave pulled the plug on this deal next year for what he had to pay out. Starting on the tail or near the back of heat races is something Kyle Cummins has grown accustomed to. We laugh about his luck with the pill draw. But what has starting those races gotten him? Three consecutive MSCS championships!!!
After his blown motor during hotlaps, Kyle tried to find another car to drive for the night. He was guaranteed a starting spot in the feature no matter what, due to a provisional. How nice would it have been to see Kyle in the 20x of TSR, or the Clauson car. I think THAT would have been a good business decision! Congrats to the ENTIRE Cummins Racing 3C team on a great USAC run on Friday, and that 3rd MSCS championship. Kyle, his dad Mark, Jay and Jason, should all be very proud! |

In my opinion the best buisness decision(due to this becoming a money thing) would be to sell your $900,000 rigs and maybe invest some back into your eqipment, looking good dont make you fast. As for levi, well im not even gonna go there, ive never been a fan of his.

My first MSCS race and trip to the new Lawrenceburg Saturday night.
MSCS Observations. IMO - they need to go to a passing point system. Check with ASCS, they could provide one for you. Eliminate provisionals! There were 4 spots given to drivers who face it, were not good enough to make the show. Nothing pisses me off more than a guy starting the race at the tail and pulling off on the first lap of the B because they have a provisional. If they would have opened those 4 spots they could have taken 3 out of each heat and 3 out of 2 B mains. After the first red flag why did it take around 10 laps to get the #30 in line. Didn't they give the drivers the run down over the radio during the red. If his raceceiver is not working black flag him and send him to the pits. He will check it next time. They gave all the cars in the red 3 laps to work on their cars but when Moffitt had a flat they did not give him 3 laps. Lawrenceburg Observations - It is hard to believe it is the same track. I have to admit I miss the old one but the current track is going to the next level. Hopefully the investment in a scoreboard will be in the future. Not sure why it took so long to get the program going but could have been a bit quicker with the cold temps. L-Burg did a great job moving the show along after it got going. Why not send all sprint cars out to wheel pack when they fire their motors instead of trying to get the first hot lap group to get it done which was not successful. Seemed to be quite a few extra laps ran under yellow that could have been eliminated when you are using raceceivers. Tell them going green and turn out the light down the backstretch, there doesn't need to be a one to go by the flag man. Overall I had a great time and plan to come back. Heck, I didn't miss BC or Levi I was just enjoying the drivers who did put on a great show. |

If there are, say, 26 cars at the track under the pill draw heat race placement, 13 are going to be in the front half and 13 in the back half of each heat race. If the back half group of cars load up and leave, that leaves 13 cars for the race fans that evening to watch and apparently by reading several of the posts on here, many of you think that's OK which, frankly, I don't get at all, especially when a race team must pay fuel, entry and pit pass fees, crew fees to show up at the track. I hate to ruin your day but there won't be many race tracks or race teams in business in the future with this practice. I don't get it.

The confusion with Boat was between the #36 & #36R. He was told to line up behind the #36R. He moved into place behind the #36R... except it wasn't the #36R, it was the #36.
