And without enough fans present there is no profit. The excellent chance for more rain would've killed the crowd. Tom

I live 10 minutes from the track and it has been raining off and on since he called it. As much as I hate it, Tommy made the right call.

When the weather is iffy put yourselves in the promoter's shoes. Are you (plural you, folks) willing to risk a possibly huge loss of income, coupled with a considerable expense? Me, neither. Promoters are gamblers and they know when to fold 'em. Those who don't soon become ex-promoters. We are blessed here with some pretty fair country gamblers. Tommy is only one of them.

Hurry back, Shortbus! Missed your handsome smiling face last Friday at Bloomington. Did see Bob Clauson so that helped.

I am quite happy they called it when they did. I live something like 240 miles from the track and that call let me get home in good time this evening. When I left about 4:15 it was still coming down lightly. I absolutely think they made the right decision.
