While Christopher Bell should not have spun out, an experienced dirt driver would have spun into him instead of going in head on. The driver that hit him was on the brakes way too long. Some of the comments from the drivers were ridiculous. "four hundred and ten sprint races" blew up my twitter feed.
I enjoyed it for what it was. Track seemed to have a couple different lines available if they also knew how to run the top. Every restart, a new player emerged or reappeared. Love that C Bell put on a show w/ a truck so far out of square and was still mad enough at himself for it to show in post race interview.
I wonder how many people went to tune in last night for the latest business/ political headline and found dirt racing instead? Even if it was only one, i love it! The best part of the whole thing for me was when FS1 first went on air for quals, the big blocks were on the track rolling her in! They also aired some sprint car action as part of the build up. Chase Briscoe talked about the failed slider he tried "like a sprint car" the night before and how the extra weight took him all the way into the fence. Found the challenge of the dirt drivers adapting to the truck characterics pretty entertaining. just wish they'd show more of the field battles instead of the top 2 or 3.
