Isaac Chapple, the 2016 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year, was injured in a practice accident at the Terre Haute Action Track Wednesday night.
Chapple suffered a concussion and a lacerated lung in the turn three crash.* He remains at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital as of 1pm Thursday afternoon with hopes of being released later Thursday night.
Though bruised and banged up, doctors are keeping a watchful eye on Isaac’s lungs to make sure he is able to breathe easily without the aid of oxygen.
Isaac promises to be back at the racetrack soon.* USAC wishes him a speedy recovery.
