Is there any official word on whether or not the May 25th rainout of the Hoosier Hundred has been rescheduled?
I'm starting to get a bad feeling.
Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
They've never rescheduled it in recent years, but hoping for the best! I remember going in 2007, got a few Hot Lap sessions in before a nice rain, but they didn't make any effort to work in the track and cancelled. I had to send our ticket stubs in for a refund. Sure wish the Fairgrounds, USAC, and Bob would schedule the Hulman 100 in May and the Hoosier Hundred in late August or September.
Seems like everyone has just forgotten about the Hulman 100! Definitely a shame!
Heard a the fair is the one holding up a date. Everyone is happy with it. Nothing is going on, but don't want any events in the 2 weeks heading up to the fair.

Thanks Brent. If you hear anything let me know. This time of year I don't keep up with what's going on a much as other season's.

The NASCAR weekend at the Brickyard moving to the weekend after labor day might be the opportunity to do just that. If they had the Hoosier 100 on Friday night of that Brickyard weekend it could be an attractive event. It would be several weeks after the end of the state fair and the weekend after the Silver Crown race at DuQuoin. The Silver Crown race at LOR could be kept in July, or they could do a dirt/pavement double header like they have scheduled in May before the 500. Indy Mile on Thursday and LOR on Friday.

Perhaps scheduling the Hoosier 100 that weekend will help the gate at the Brickyard 400.
