Some great sprint car racing at The 'Burg last night. Pill draws, for once, had the big dogs split up pretty well in the four heats. Congratulations to Jeff Bland on the win and on the terrific show he, Bacon and Schuerenberg staged along with Darland before he pulled off.

Nice night for two of my boys Kyle Robbins and Brett Burdette. Kyle won his heat holding of a charging Chris Windom to the checkers. Brett 2nd in his heat to present 'Burg dominator, Bland, Jr. Then top 5 finishes for both in the feature.

Kevin Besecker had to be pleased getting both of his Armstrong charges in the show with Caleb running 2nd to Brady Bacon in the second heat. Dakoda in the same heat just missed transferring with a 5th but came back to win the "B" over Jimmy Light. Then as Sandy's rundown above shows, Caleb gets a 7th and Dakoda 13th in the featch.

That the track went to dry slick and a bit dusty mattered not a twit to me. I go for the racing and the racing was about as tough as I've seen on the new surface this season. Now that Boss Bill and Brian are running a modified I think I can get away with saying here that I enjoyed the modified heats as well. :wink

Ed K., Gregg, Danny, Hoover, Jerry Shaw and I upheld the pristine Section "A" reputation and shared a few Dwight Clock memories during the down times. Gonna miss that guy. Enjoyed what may have been the final '08 season visit with the Clausons (Bob, Monica, Tim, and Jade) unless they hang around for the MSCS event. Finally met 1BIGracefan (Kyle) for a pit area chat along with Danny.

All in all, a fun night at The 'Burg and no place else I would rather have been......well, since Jennifer Aniston didn't return my calls. :checkered:
