Those were the days!!! I know everybody is saying "He don't like wings" I don't now ,but back in the days of these pictures I did . I guess it was because cars were still different , back then we had The Big 3 but there was a second group who was always right there waiting to pounce . Plus the drivers seemed more colorful , more fun loving , I guess what I'm trying to say is IMHO winged racing has become to business like , to serious . So now when you guys see me saying I'm not fond of wings you know why , Been there done it, not crazy bout it anymore . Thanks for letting me vent, stepping off soapbox now.

IMO, the cars that were painted vs the wraps used a lot these days just looked so good.

The 1sr sprint race I ever went to was to watch Doug Wolfgang in the Weikert 29 back in 1985 at Lebanon Valley Speedway.

I made my first trips to Port Royal and Williams Grove in 1985. Wolfgang ruled both races in the Weikert #29.

Love it! Forgot how big those tail tanks were and what a cushion looked like at Eldora

Keep them coming.
