MVT / BOSS Ready to Return to Montpelier

One year ago, the Mo Vaughn Transport BOSS tour rolled into the Montpelier Motor Speedway with teams and fans not sure what to expect. What transpired that night was one of the most exciting nights of racing of the entire season, featuring an incredible field of 41 sprint cars. BOSS star Brandon Spithaler of Evans City, Pennsylvania drove around some of the best Indiana had to offer to get to the lead of the main event. However, the always exciting "Evans City Earthmover" blasted the cushion a little too hard in turn 1 and 2 and went flipping out over turn #2. In the end, it was California's Robert Ballou scoring the inaugural BOSS - Montpelier victory.

As fans have come to expect, the ultra competitive BOSS series has seen a multitude of different winners in 2015 with well over 100 different drivers having competed in the thirteen events completed so far. Thomas Meseraull and Landon Simon are the only repeat winners on the tour. Shawn Westerfeld of Guilford, Indiana leads the current points standings with one tour victory as past BOSS champions Mike Miller and Dustin Smith are very much within striking distance and both are hoping to become the tour's first repeat champion. Cooper Clouse, Aaron Middaugh, Michael Fischesser. Chad Wilson, Justin Owen, Cody Gardner and Bob McMillin round out the top 10 in points, but with only 4 events remaining, time is running out in the championship chase.

Gates will open at 3 pm on Saturday with the drivers meeting at 5:15 pm and hot laps at 6:00 pm. Racing will begin at 6:30. Pit passes will be $30 while general admission is $15 with kids 12 and under free with paid adult. For teams, there will be no charge for transponder rentals and no mufflers are required for this event.
