USAC winged sprint car competition occurs on two fronts this week with races at Madera, Calif. and Kalamazoo, Mich. Projected rains and weather forecasts resulted in cancellation of last Saturday night’s “Eddie Gilstrap Motors Sprint Car Legends Classic” Auto Value race at the Salem (Ind.) Speedway.
Kalamazoo Speedway hosts this Saturday night’s “Lucky 7 Night at the Zoo” USAC Auto Value Bumper-to-Bumper Sprint race, the second round of this year’s schedule. Bobby Santos, as a result of his April victory in Florida, has a one-point lead over Kyle Edwards in the standings.
Davey Hamilton Jr. leads the USAC Western Regional King of the Wing Sprints to Saturday’s “Summertime Horsepower Nationals” race at Madera. He has a one-point lead over Kyle Vanderpool after winning the May 2 series opener at Madera.

Today is only Tuesday, but the forecast is looking good. It could change dramatically by then in Michigan.
Cloudy with highs in the mid 70's and lows in the mid 50's
Hopefully the powers that be won't cancel this one because of potential cloudiness.
