BIG “DOUBLE POINTS” DMA RACE AT BEAR RIDGE SATURDAY

Adam Pierson appears to have a lock on the USAC DMA Midget title after seven wins and two seconds in 10 starts. But wait! This Saturday’s race at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. will offer “double” points.

That means that Pierson’s 139-point lead over Josh Sunn could be sliced with 136 points available Saturday.

Sunn’s 10 starts have produced eight “top-six” finishes, but amazingly he is still seeking his initial 2014 victory.

The series will conclude September 27 at the Vermont oval.
