Im not a member of HARF but our local BARC.

I can all out say with 100 percent certainty that a race fan without at least one of the clubs is missing out on the best investment you could ever make.

You get your money back many times over in Free or reduced admissions to some races, Picnics, Many clubs offer tours or access dates to private collections of race and vintage car, Many of the members of such clubs have some vintage race cars, hot rods or vintage stuff and most of the clubs have at least one monthly meeting that after the business is done, Good food and most importantly, BENCH RACING is done. Makes the winters much more bearable.

We also pool a little from a lot of members to help give contingencies or injured drivers funds. Promote the sport and introduce new people to it.

JOIN HARF, DARF, BARC, SPARK2 or whatever racing club is in your area. It is what you make out of it. But its certainly not a waste of money, Usually less than most would spend to get to one race and back and you'll get much more in return!

Congrats Abe!

Ditto Charles, but obviously i am biased as President of one of those great clubs. But let me give you a view from this other side, and going out on a limb, i will speak for the other Presidents also. You have to love the sport and your biggest desire is to advance our sport. We try so hard to give back to the tracks and promoters for their generosity to our clubs, our goal is to put butts in their seats, not only on our discounted nights, but for many nights after that. We hope a discount night leads to a long term love affair with a race track. You all know what we offer our members, here at HARF we offer over 30 discounted (or FREE) nights at the races, a Monte Carlo night in the fall, our Huge Champions Awards Banquet in January and a quarterly newsletter. I am always so honored to be thanked by one of our members at a HARF night, it makes it all worthwhile. Bob

...and Dick and Jan would never pat themselves on the back, but both were heavily involved in growing HARF to what it is today. My Thanks to all of our past and current Officers.
