Use hot laps for qualifying times and utilize the King of the Hill to set the starting lineup for the 30 lap A-Main

Jack was known for racing to the front not qualifying so introduce the ohio fans to the sprint bandit format believe the fans would approve of this style of racing.

I believe the sprint bandit format is passing points as it was ASCS controlled.. If I'm wrong, sorry

It was more like the Powri format with heats, B Mains, Qualifiers and a feature lined up on total passing points.
Makes for great racing and confused fans if the announcers don't convey to the fans what racer got how many points. Jack Hewitt, Started 8th in his heat, Finished second, Has 28 points. Mike Miller started 7th and finished first. ALSO HAS 28 points. and so on and so on and so on. The Qualifiers will bust that up a lot but there will still be some ties.

Pill draw for heat groups. Hot lap qualifying with an invert. (4 is a nice round number). Passing points transfer with top "X" point drivers going into the king qualification race. (Tie in points is decided by coin toss. Top qualifier calls) Winner of that bracket draws from deck (1 ace, two 2's, three 3's, four 4's, four fives, three sixes, two sevens, and one eight) to control invert from there. And then offer whoever ends up on the pole a challange. Start on the tail. $100 simply to start last, $10 a car he passes, and a $1000 bonus if he wins. I think there is enough luck/skill/drama in there for everyone.

Except it pays 300 to start and if he doesn't win, he'd actually lose money

Charles,
All of the "bonus" money is above all normal show money. Not saying driver only gets $100 to start last. He gets an extra $100 to start last. Jeremy |
