Scarpitta sponsored one of the PA Posse for some years. There was an exhibit of some of his works, including that sprint car, at Harvard some years ago. We attended that exhibit, and I think Dick Berggren wrote about it in Open Wheel.

Sal also did a racing move that was filmed at Lincoln Speedway called "PayDirt".
