Too bad the weather intervened. Well, I'll just have to make my initial visit to Macon later this year. Hope the rain moves out early enough that it doesn't interfere with Belle-Clair. The radar is not looking too good for Haubstadt; may wind up watching IndyCar on TV!

It's my fault. This is my 3rd attempt to see a midget race at Macon. Oh, well. It took 4 tries before I ever saw one at Ascot.

Hey ronmil, here's a plan. You might would give some thought to coming over to Lincoln Friday afternoon for the POWRi show at Lincoln, IL on August 15th.

Then, the next morning drive down to The Illinois State Fairgrounds on the North side of Springfield, IL for the USAC Silver Crown race on The Mile Saturday afternoon and maybe even spend a little time at The Illinois State Fair during the day then that evening on your way home stop at Mighty Macon for the POWRi show!!

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
