Is USUCK ever going to put clips up from Kamp, Bloomington and Haubstadt on that fancy new site of theirs? It's been a handful of days, I figured they'd be up by now.
Kind of makes me long for the days when Dean Mills put them up himself.

I just wanna see the great Bloomington feature I've been hearing so much about, as well as the action from the 'Stadt.
They wouldn't be USUCK if they fixed their problems and got on top of updating the site!!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

As great as modern technology is in keeping the racefan "informed" and allowing people to see events that they normally would not get a chance to see for whatever reason, it should not be used as an alternative to actually being there to witness it firsthand.

In other words, if you weren't there, you missed out...I find it hard to understand why you feel you have a certain right to see something you didn't bother going to in the first place. Showing such detailed highlights is a service that I have provided, and now USAC has picked up the torch and begun to run with, and we have done so to help promote the sport. But, we have never had an obligation to do so. I appreciate that you have come to expect being able to see the highlights, but that doesn't give you the right to use disparaging remarks about USAC, or make a backhanded remark about me.

The clips are coming...Remember, USAC's new site is a work in progress, and one that has never been attempted in short track racing. Please be patient with the process, as we learn the most expedient, and conducive methods to promoting this series, and the sport of Sprint Car, Midget, and Silver Crown racing as a whole.

Thank you.

Do you have any idea how time consuming Video Editing is? The more hours, The more editing.

Have some damn patience or buy a ticket and go. It's in no way anyones responsibility to show you this show, highlights or anything and if you'd consider it a bonus that USAC is giving us. That would be a better view. Dean could sit on em and make you purchase em. Why not do it anyway?

Chuck, Thanking Dean, Kevin and everyone for any bonus materials their willing to give.

Um, I understand Mills Video Productions and USAC haven't had any obligation to put up clips. But, clips have been appearing on the site, so I was simply looking forward to them with the understanding that they'd be forthcoming.
And who said anyone was using the clips as a justification for not going to the races?? I sure didn't, so don't put words in my mouth. And how do you know I simply "didn't bother" to go?? The Kokomo clip showed just how much is lost in the translation from physically being there to just watching the highlights on a tiny screen on some website. I'd trade being there over watching clips any day, obviously.
And I didn't make a backhanded remark about you. I really do think the clips were packaged better when you hosted them on your site. A little sensitive, are we?

Chuck, who just regurgitated everything Dean Mills already wrote.

I actually have to kind of side with "backitin" on this, even though he/she could have been a little more tactful.
I've been looking for the clips on usacracing.com too, and thus far have been disappointed. I went to Kamp, but would still like to see -- if anything was visible through the dust and the darkness-- the highlights. Couldn't make it to Bloomington or Tri-State but I would like to see what happened.
At least for me, it's not a matter of thinking that USAC or Mills owe us these clips. But when the rest of the clips have been posted, one tends to think that more are coming! Hopefully good things come to those who wait!

Well, that's a nicer way to say it now, isn't it? No reason for you to be rude and condemning about it, when you simply could have asked politely, "are the clips going to be shown soon?"

Uh, you told me, when you said this above: "I just wanna see the great Bloomington feature I've been hearing so much about..." Hearing being the operative word here...

I concur. As great a medium as video is, it pales in comparison to the real thing. In my estimation, the only thing that video does is help you recall the feelings you had when you were actually experiencing it live. It is no substitute.

Yes, you did...You said, and I quote, "Kind of makes me long for the days when Dean Mills put them up himself."...I am not sensitive, I am just perceptive. I know the implication and the difference between the phrase, "Kind of makes me long for the days...", and "Makes me long for the days..."

Whatever...You are just going to have to wait until they get the highlights that I have already cut up on the USAC site. Until then, can't we be a little gracious?
