The thunder of the United States Auto Club Silver Crown Series cars as well as the UMP DIRTcar Racing Modifieds will be felt at the historic 1/2 mile Terre Haute Action Track located on the Vigo County Fairgrounds. This is round 1 towards the historic USAC Silver Crown Championship, which has been captured by the likes of A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser, Ken Schrader, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, and more. This is a chance to join some of the VERY BEST in racing in the history books. A strong field of cars is expected.





For UMP Modified drivers, here is a chance to get some VALUABLE early season points to go towards the National Championship. A $700 top prize awaits what is sure to be a stout field of quality cars.

Im assuming we are still a go for the SUMAR 100? Track, pits & infield draining well? Really excited to see racing at terre haute especially this jewel of the Silver Crown series.

Things look pretty good. Things appear to be a go if nothing changes between now and tomorrow.

A little over a year ago I got a text from Morty asking if I was going to Terre Haute to watch the USAC Silver Crown. I replied back no,as they really arent my cup of tea. The next text I got from him was something like " Well I was hoping to see you there,I just found out I have Cancer". I told him then, "I think you better call me",which he did. I decided right then I would go,but unfortunately,it got rained out.

Today,I am going to Terre Haute to watch the Silver Crown,as Terre Haute Action Track,and USAC's Silver Crown division were 2 of his favorites. I also decided last night to put Morty's Village Trustee sign in the van with me,and its going to every race I go to this year. Morty is going to a lot of races this year...........
