I heard today at the PRI that American Racer tires will not be an option for Crown teams this year.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

You are correct. No other series has a tire rule. No other series changes their tire rules.

As long as the money that is being paid to usac for this rule change gets back to every racer and owner in the series pocket its fine. Not sure if I see that happening though.

I dont recall american racer ever contributing to the point fund either time i was fortunate enough to win championship. Hoosier did. Please correct me if i am wrong.

This sucks. Hoosiers are way more expensive unless there is some sort of major discount deal which I highly doubt. That's fine Levi if you win the championship but if you're a low budget guy it sucks. I thought they were trying to get more guys to come back, not piss them off even more.

It's not true....talked to AR and Hilenberg(sp) today at PRI

Levi , when your a winner like American Racer is on a dirt mile, the purse money more than makes up for the Kick back.
Heck , USAC even cut the races to twin 50's trying to give Hoosier a shot.
