I 70 delays from indy to effingah

just curious how the delays are going west on I 70 ..heading to pevely thursday night ..I know a month ago it was terrible..just thought another race fan could help me out with info...Does it take a lot longer to jump on 40 {i believe) or do you think we can just chance it?

Probably depends on what time you leave. Last week I left for Highland Illinois at 3:30 from Indy,and got there around 7PM central. A couple backups in Indiana near Cloverdale,and then near the Brazil exit. Illinois has way less traffic,so where it does go to one lane before Effingham it just slows down a bit.

There is a large amount of construction at the merger of 70/64/55 as well. Rush hour is pretty brutal.
