Saw this update on Facebook today and figured it could be seen by more people if it was on here too. I hope they find some help, they're a great family and a kind bunch of people and it would be a shame not to see the Briscoe #5 on a racetrack.

From Chase's Facebook:

"As many of you know, a few weeks ago at Putnamville I crashed our sprint car. What many of you don't know is that we are a very low budget race team. Most of the equipment I run is leftover from when my dad raced. The car I crashed was bought used and I had only raced it five times. Since that night I have not raced. My grandpa, Richard Briscoe, has been in sprint car racing since the 70's, nearly 40 years. I never really thought the day would come when there wouldn't be a Briscoe #5 but unfortunately it looks like that day has arrived. Our race team just does not have the money to buy another chassis. In the past when we were trying to find sponsorship for the car it was suggested we open up an account to take donations. We really didn't want it to come to that but it looks like that may be our last shot of keeping a car on the track. So friends and fans if you are interested in helping out our race team we have set up a PayPal account trying to raise enough money to get the Briscoe #5 back on the track. If you have a PayPal account and would like to donate just click on the "Send Money" tab and type in the following email address: kevinbriscoe5@hotmail.com then enter the amount you wish to donate. If your PayPal account is set up through a credit card instead of your bank account there will be a fee of 45 cents I believe. If you have any questions you can pm me. If you would rather mail donations our address is: 286 Dixie Highway Mitchell, Indiana 47446. Thanks everyone!"
