First, we would like to thank everyone for their inquiries and support over the last few weeks. Those we have not answered directly please do not feel slighted. We’ve been spending a lot of time not talking about racing and just enjoying family time.

We are announcing that Coleman is retiring from racing at this time. We would like to point to specific reasons and there are several but we intend to keep those private. I know; retiring at 19. Wouldn’t we all love to do that? Coleman will be pursuing other interests in the foreseeable future and many of his friends and family are thrilled he will be moving back to New York. We have missed him a lot.

On a business note, we will be holding a sale of some very good cars, motors, parts, etc. soon. I will post a complete list of everything once it is compiled. If you have a need for something email me at petegulick@yahoo.com.

Now the tough part; Indiana welcomed the Gulick clan with open arms and we will be forever grateful. We have made some lifelong friends and will enjoy the many years of memories for the rest of our lives. It’s difficult to single out individuals since the list is very long. However there is one fore sure; Bill Gardner for creating IOW and a venue where so many strangers can meet. And, doing this while fighting the evilness of the C word. Thanks Bill. Then there are the others around the country; so many friends and memories for life. Thanks are not enough for all of you who welcomed us but still; Thank you! To those of you who we have “crossed” during our years racing; I hope we can all move on and face life’s challenges vs. living with grudges. We’re not perfect and never claimed to be. Lord knows we made our share of mistakes. We just felt we were right at the time and I am sure you did too. Life is just too darn short.

Many of you watched Coleman grow up before your very eyes over the last few years; more so than his Mother and me. Coleman moved to Indiana in 2007 to Race and yet it is hard to believe he’s still a Teenager. I have some regrets about approving this move while he was so young but it is what Coleman wanted to do with his life at that time. For those Fathers out there that are considering this path, you may want to give me a shout. I can shed some serious light on the ins/outs/highs/lows etc. How does the song go? “I wish I knew know what I didn’t know then, I wish I could just start this whole thing over again”…

With continued good health and blessings, there may be a time when Coleman changes his mind and jumps in a car again. But for now, the Hazardous Sports, Rob’s Market number 14 piloted by The Iceman is done.

On a personal note, Jill and I will miss all of you. It has been a great few years out there in the Hoosier State. Keep your eyes peeled from time to time; you may spot us in the stands supporting the tracks, drivers and teams just like all other fans. Racing is still in our blood and everyone knows; once you have this bug, it is incurable.

Until another time, God Bless and Safe Racing.

Pete Gulick and the Gulick Clan.

Pete; Thank you for sharing your son with all us fans. It's been a pleasure watching him race. Even though you and I have never met, just from reading your posts over the years, I've gotten the impression that you're someone who has his priorities in order. I wish you, Coleman and your entire family nothing but the best.

You laugh because I'm different. I laugh because you're all the same. Copied from the back of the #16 supermodified.
