For those teams or fans planning to travel a distance to our POWRi Speed Week event on Thursday June 6th, we wanted to put some contact information on here to try to make your visit easier and more enjoyable.

We have a limited number of camping hookups available at the fairgrounds for those of you in RV's. You will need to contact us in advance so that we can have a spot reserved and service on. Cost for hookups is $40. There is plenty of free camping room available if you don't need hookups.

If you plan to stay in a hotel, we can help arrange space around any of our local hotels where you can park a rig and unload a car Friday and get work done. If we know in advance we can also arrange some open trailers and trucks to make it easier to get in and out of a car wash.

If you are coming as a group, we can arrange ground transportation from your hotel to and from the track if you wish. If any large group would like to have their own party/gathering area, we have a building next to our grandstands available... but again, we would need to know in advance.

If there are a number of teams that plan to stay overnight at the track, we would be willing to have breakfast available Friday morning or if everyone is in hotels, we can arrange ground transportation to a local breakfast spot. But again, this is much easier if we know your plans ahead of time.

We encourage everyone coming to stay in Jacksonville Thursday night and we can show our local merchants that the Speedway makes a positive contribution to our community. We will work hard to make life easy on anyone attending, but we need to be in communication with you regarding your plans and needs in advance.

Please do not hesitate to email us at track@jacksonvillespeedway.com or call me at 217-371-3653 if you plan to spend the night in Jacksonville. And don't forget that the Speedway Bar will be open long after the races are over... so plan accordingly.

It should be a great night with a great field of cars in all classes. POWRi Midgets, Micros and winged 305 sprint cars.

There are still a few real promoters around. Hats off to Ken Dobson and the whole Jacksonville crew for going far above and beyond what most tracks do. A special thanks for limiting the support classes to open wheel cars. I certainly wish more tracks would do this for special shows. I will certainly be there.

I'm counting the hours down till the start of Illinois Midget week next week. I'll be heading that way just as soon as I get out of work. Sounds like there are plenty of International fans coming over for a look at this-and Indiana Midget week the next week. 2 good weeks of midget racing for the traveling fans.

Hey Andrew - plenty of Kiwis and Aussies coming - I have a tour with about 20 people on it. We are looking forward to the Hut 100 and the 9 nights of midget car racing with POWRi and USAC. You will see us and hear us " loud and clear" lol - Bryce T

I looked on the Jacksonville website, but I couldn't find the admission or pit pass prices. The Poweri website has a poster that gives start times for the week, but that is it. Could you post them? I will be in Hannibal, MO registering my kid for college that day and I am thinking about trying to make it that night for the race.

Is camping available at the 4 speedways that are hosting the POWRi Midget Week events?

Grandstand admission is $18 with children 12 and under free at Jacksonville. Camping is available. Hookups available for a fee if you contact us in advance. I can't speak for other tracks on camping, but Lincoln is also at a Fairgrounds and I'd suspect you can camp there also.

[Note] Edited the price. Sometimes you need to look at your paperwork before you shoot from the hip and memory. This has always been an $18 admission with the sprints. Excuse the brain fart. [/Note]
