Understanding Offset and how it works

Hey Guys,
Great forum with lots of fantastic information. Still having trouble nailing the answer to my problem. I run wingless sprints in Australia using controlled V6 motors @200hp 6k rpm limits, I understand how offset works on the RR but is the same affect achieved by using say a 15-7 off v 15-4 off on the LR? Or will the 4off give more side bite over the 7? I run a 09 JEI 5 Bar car with a 53in axle and it has the outboard rf shock. I see a lot of cars using 3off lf and 5off Rf. What are the advantages to that combo? I have had success with 3l/3r until the tracks go slick. I SUCK on slick really and can't get my head around it. To tighten the car on slick dusty tracks is a 2off rf going to help? Thanks in advance.. Joe Posted via Mobile Device |
