ANDERSON, Ind. (May 16, 2013) – Nine-time Pay Less Little 500 champion Eric Gordon recently announced that the 2013 Pay Less Little 500 will be his final race as he will be retiring.

I hope that Eric can stay involved in some capacity. He has damn near owned this race and his driving style is as smooth as any around. Looking forward to another great Little 5 this year.

Of all the records that exist in all forms of racing, Eric's nine Little 500 wins amazes me the most. When you think of all the things that can go wrong in a 500 lap race, on a tiny track, surrounded by other semi out of control fire breathing sprint cars, driven by increasingly hot and tired racers....What are the odds of avoiding all the chaos NINE times??!!
