i am going to go out on a limb and say that the lawrenceburg speedway is in the top 3 dirt track racing facilities in the nation! other than the lowes deal in charlotte...which is hampered by a poor racing surface, and perris which is a class act....the NEW lawrenceburg speedway is probably the nicest facility in the country! track is awesome, and will only get better with time, the new stands are amazing, the grounds are very nice......i could only find one negative thing.....which i am sure will be fixed at some point seeing as they arent done yet.....no restrooms in the pits...other than that...GREAT JOB LAWRENCEBURG!!!!

facilites yes. racing? no.. It is no where near the level of the premire tracks such as Eldora, Knoxville, Manzy, The Grove etc. but it is still a nice track that has alot of potential. I still think the way the reconfigured the track has taken the small-budget racer completely out of the game

There are a number of drivers in the pits that we talked to, that are on a small budget, that still feel like they have a shot there. So, I would disagree with the low budget teams have no shot theory.

I thought the racing surface was "fabulous". It was smooth and had just enough moisture in it to result in absolutlely Zero dust! when the women are happy I'm happy!! I still love the old track but it is one spectacular place. Can't wait to go back.

You know Rob, I was thinking the same thing. I thought that beautiful tech shed would have been the ideal opportunity to build a decent restroom and concession stand in the pits. Oh well, can't have everything! |

I don't think you can claim to be an "elite" track - unless you have a significant electronic scoreboard.
This is absolutely required to be with the "big boys". How about getting Argosy to sponsor a couple scoreboards - put in a couple of those Daktronics , like they have out front -- Now - that would put you in the elite! Don't get me wrong - track is great - amazing - but, still has a ways to go. |

we all have our wish lists i guess, but, if they don't do another thing down there, it's still one of the finest places in the country to watch a race.

I agree with Knoxville and the Grove....I have made the five and a half hour trip to both Eldora and Lawrenceburg this year and until Eldora gets the track prep better I will choose Lawrenceburg in a heartbeat....Manzy is pretty much a thing of the past. Lawrenceburg is also much more fan friendly than Eldora. JMO
