Thank you Tim, I was wondering how Dave Darland did. Tonight if you get a chance hand him a cold Budweiser and tell him I sent it to him. Not bad for a tired old man, keep it up Dave. :respect:
See you next week.

Hatton holds off Coons for Charter Raceway Victory

By Bryan Gapinski
Beaver Dam,Wis.,May 31---Scott Hatton held off a late race charge from Jerry Coons Jr. to win "Round Two of Duel at the Dam", 30-lap Badger Midget Series feature, Saturday Night at Charter Raceway Park.
Hatton jumped into the lead at the start, while both of the events cautions occurred during the first three laps.Hatton stretched his lead on the restart, while Dave Darland, passed eight cars in the first four laps moving into third place. Hatton increased his lead over a tightly bunched field racing for positions second-sixth place.
Hatton held a 4.8 second lead at the midway point, when he began lapping the tail of the field. Coons moved into second place, two laps later. By lap 20 Coons cut Hatton's advantage to 2.6 seconds, as the pair pulled away from the field. Coons closed to within a car length of Hatton with five laps remaining, with both drivers running on the cushion. Coons made a pass for the lead on the 27th lap entering Turn 3, taking the lead. Exiting Turn 4 Coons brushed the wall, allowing Hatton to regain the top position.
Hatton driving the Huston Solution owned Stealth/Mopar#15 finished two-car lengths ahead of Coons at the finish for his first series victory since Sept. 4, 2005. Darland, Bobby East and Brandon Waelti completed the top five, with all but one car finishing the feature event.

Jerry, from what i understand Brad was in the car and pushed off for the feature then he thought he had a mechanical problem so he stopped on the track. He did not pull into the work area cause he stopped just coming out of turn 4 on the bottom of the frontstretch. Someone else by us thought they were adding fuel to the car but i didn't see that. They pushed the car off and Brad went back up in line to get his spot back but they said he was DQed. I don't know the rules but i was expecting him to just tag onto the tail. He went around a few laps in the starting spot where he was and they gave him the black flag. He went around another lap or 2 and they were telling him on the radio to pull in. After another lap they told him to pull in or they would have to stop all the other cars and they would fine him $100 a lap for every lap he stayed out. Then he pulled in and i'm sure he wasn't happy.
