Below is an email sent out on Jan 26, 2012 announcing the new USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car incentive for the 2012 racing season.

This email was sent out by Kevin Miller to announce the new initiative.

In the last 3 years USAC has worked to raise purses from $4000 to win and $400 to start to now $5000 to win and $500 to start.

There are incentives for drivers to join USAC and encourage all to take advantage of the better insurance protection. Hope this clarifies any confusion.

USAC TO ANNOUNCE NEW NATIONAL SPRINT CAR INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR 2012*

The United States Auto Club will take bold steps in 2012 and beyond to solidify its foundation for recognizing loyalty and dedication within its ranks.

Beginning in 2012, the AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series, one of USAC's strongest entities, will serve as the avenue and model for these bold initiatives, with structural changes designed to reward membership in the organization while preserving the great heritage built during the past half-century.

Membership in USAC has always produced rewards for participants but the future benefits are expected to exceed those previously experienced.* It is anticipated that these new directional incentives will expand across the board within the USAC family in the future to encompass all aspects of the organization.

The strength of our AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series has been reflected in the increased activity and exposure experienced in the past 12 months and in the re-focus of the series, which mirrors similar changes that occurred two decades ago.

Extensive work has been done to formulate this new direction and incentive program to bolster our already-successful entities and we are extremely excited about the future and the opportunities these moves will provide.

The new incentive program is expected to launch with races beginning April 1st. As details are being finalized, we felt it was important for teams to understand the new incentive program will reward the Top 10 in National Sprint Car entrant points, on a race by race basis, with a volunteer performance based incentive. The Top 10 in points coming into each race will receive the incentives worth approximately $200 additional per race.

Additionally, a year-end points fund has been reserved for the National Sprint Car Championship of $100,000, with a guaranteed $5000 for 10th place.

Participation requires an active USAC team membership and participation in USACs voluntary loyalty incentive clause. The initial Top 10 in points will be established on completion of race activities in Ocala and the incentive clause will begin with the first racing activities for scheduled April events. Complete program rules are now being drafted for review among USAC partners and legal staff.

We are very excited to be in a position of strength and growth with our programs, and the demand for USAC has allowed us to guarantee every National Sprint Car race to pay a minimum of $500 to start, and $5000 to win for USAC registered entrants. That is a first for USAC. 2012 is shaping up to be a historic year. We hope to see you in Ocala to be a part of it.
