I am generally pleased at the amount of support Bryan Clauson has received from fans of the IZOD IndyCar series. But there is still a mindset out there by some in the IndyCar world that USAC and sprint car racing in general is a Midwest regional sport and that short track fans do not have the numbers to support one of their drivers in an International series such as IndyCar. A few even think Bryan is not worthy of an IndyCar ride but that is their problem, not Bryans.
For those who are attending the Indy 500 this year we need to make our support for Bryan Clauson known and make some noise especially during driver introductions. Lord knows he has worked hard to get to this point in his career plus knowing we are out there cheering him on will probably be a big confidence booster for him. I would also like to show the doubters out there that the number of short track fans on the grounds is far greater than these people realize.
So please support Bryan Clauson at Indy and be vocal about it. And support Ed Carpenter as well.
The place definitely went nuts Saturday when he took the track. There were BC shirts all over the place and his pit stall had quite a few fans lurking outside. Should be a good show Sunday. Can't want to watch.

Gregg,
This is one of the best posts/requests I have seen in a long time. It truly captures the struggle these young drivers are facing today. I couldn't agree with you more. Plus, if BC is successful in his Indy efforts (I think he already is and so do most of us here), this could open doors for some of these other young kids that are busting their butts week in and out to try and race professionally.
I would hope that he has opened enough eyes to lead to a regular ride. Are you listening Roger or Michael? Maybe a sponsor will come along and "buy" him a ride, if that's what it takes beyond talent and desire.
